Master in Ancient and Modern Languages and Literatures [120.0] - LAFR2M
The master in ancient and modern languages and literatures aims to provide advanced literary and linguistic training in the French and Latin fields (core courses: 60 credits, including dissertation).
The choice of two options (15+15 credits) helps the student to specialise in the different areas of Latin philology (language and texts from the medieval period up to modern times, Roman antiquity) or French philology (linguistics, Medieval language and literature, modern literature, literary creation) or in another discipline, possibly as an addition to the focus chosen or the minor taken in the bachelor programme. Students have access to four focuses (30 credits each): research focus, teaching focus, professional focus in the sciences and careers in books and a professional focus in French as a foreign language. The programme is made up of:
♦ core courses (60 credits), made up of: - 30 credits in French and Latin linguistics and literature; - 28 dissertation credits and 2 credits for the accompanying seminar; ♦ one focus (30 credits); ♦ and two options of 15 credits, at least one of which is from list A. Wathever the focus or the options chosen, the programme of this master shall totalise 120 credits, spread over two years of studies each of 60 credits One focus from the following :
