The aim of the minor in ancient studies is to provide students of all disciplines with basic multidisciplinary training in ancient sciences (in particular languages and literature, history, history of art and archeology). The minor is also an introduction to the foundations of ancient civilizations; it is based on both the content and the methods peculiar to the various disciplines of ancient studies.
The minor allows students to acquire an additional skill and deepen their knowledge of the ancient world from the first two years of their degree course. The course opens up the Antiquity to students and facilitates access to master's classes that deal with the various areas of ancient civilizations.
