Master in Ancient and Modern Languages and Literatures [60.0] - LAFR2M1

The core courses in this master (45 credits) provide advanced training in the field of Latin and French studies, particularly in linguistics (synchronic and diachronic approaches) and literature (analysis of authors, textual commentary and literary history). The skills acquired will be put to use in the end of study dissertation.
A choice of courses (total of 15 credits) helps the student acquire more specific training in some aspects of the Latin field ('langue et civilisation' ;' latinité classique, médiévale ou moderne') or French ('linguistique'; 'représentations et imaginaires littéraires'; 'sociologie de la littérature et de la paralittérature'; 'littérature, histoire et esthétique').

The programme is made up of:
♦ core courses (45 credits), made up of :
- 15 credits in courses in Latin linguistics and literature;
- 15 credits in courses in French linguistics and literature;
- 15 credits for the end of study work;
♦ optional courses, to be taken in "Langue et culture latines" and in "Langue et littérature françaises" (with a minimum of 5 credits in each block).
