Master in Management [60.0] - IAG2M1The four universities of the Louvain Academy (UCL, FUNDP, FUCaM and FUSL) have created a school of management, the Louvain School of Management (LSM). It is the largest school of management in Belgium with over 1,200 students and more than 200 lecturers. Alongside the International Executive MBA and the doctoral school programmes, the Louvain School of Management organizes different joint Masters in Management Science programmes in each of the partner universities. UCL provides the Master in Business Engineering (120), the Master in Management Science (120) over two years and the Master in Management (60) over a year, available as a day course and also on a part-time basis over two years. The one year Master in Management (60) is designed for university graduates who already have a Master (in any subject e.g. science, applied sciences, law, philosophy, literature or industrial engineers) who wish to acquire additional training in administration and management.
General presentation of the programmeWhilst similar in content, the day programme and the evening programme are organized differently. One of the reasons for this is that the day programme is for a year, whereas the evening programme is spread over two years (30 credits per year). In addition to introductory courses on the main disciplines which make up management, this programme comprises: - an integrated seminar and a piece of individual work which make up the final dissertation;
This programme can lead on to the 120 credit Master in Management Science with either a professional or a research focus.
