This bachelor’s programme provides a specific training in Art Histoy and Archeology based on a solid general background in Arts and Letters.

Students learn to approach the works using original production and modern investigative methods as well as direct study of monumental sources and materials. Different methodologies are used; works are examined in situ or collections kept in museums, field work, archeological excavations, etc. Students will be introduced to the arts and civilizations of Western Europe from Antiquity up to today.

At the end of the bachelor’s programme, students will have:

- developed their intellectual curiosity and critical capacity;
- developed their visual memory:
- developed an awareness of tangible examples of culture from all perspectives;
- developed an awareness of artistic manifestations;
- developed methods of a technological approach.

The oral and written exams aim to evaluate the knowledge, know-how and communication skills of the student. Certain subjects take the form of intermediate evaluations spread over the course of the year, particularly during the first polyvalent quadimester.
