Students not having completed equivalent courses must follow the following 20 credits of prerequisites:

INGI1101 Logic and discrete structures (5 credits), INGI1122 Methods of program design (5 credits), INGI1123 Computing (5 credits), INGI1271 Files and databases (5 credits). To this end, students may use 15 credits from the electives of the Master of computer science program. The remainder will have to be added to the 120 standard credits of the Master of computer science program.

Students who are not bachelors of computer science or UCL bachelors with a minor in computer science should submit an application to the EPL with a detailed CV (listing courses taken and marks obtained for every year).The EPL, in consultation with the INGI degree committee  will then decide on the admissability of the candidate. It will then propose such students a program to fill any gaps in their training and may impose a number of complementary courses. For certain students, the EPL may propose admission to the 2nd or 3rd year of the Bachelor in Computer Sciences program.
