Foundation studies (1st year) (60 credits)

First term :
General courses in the Faculty of Arts : Historical Foundations of Western Civilisation (5 credits), Arts and Civilisation (5 credits), Introduction to European Literature (5 credits), French Language at university level (5 credits), Modern Languages (5 credits), Ancient Languages (5 credits).
Second term :
General courses : Introduction to Philosophy (4,5 credits), Introduction to Language Sciences (3,5 credits).
Introduction to the Discipline :
a) Latin Language and Literature : Introduction to the Study of Antiquity (3,5 credits), Basic Grammar and Study of Latin Texts (8 credits).
b) French Language and Literature : Exercises in French Grammar (2,5 credits), Methods of literary studies (2,5 credits), History of French Literature (3,5 credits), French Authors from the Middle Ages (3 credits).


Specific studies (2n and 3rd year) (90 credits)

General courses (15 credits) : Modern Languages (comprehension 2nd year), Critical Analysis of Information, , Anthropology and Psychology (or Logic and Reasoning in the Human Sciences), Introduction to European Literature II (or Literary Theory, or General Linguistics), Questions of Religious Sciences
Specialisation courses (72 credits) :
a) Latin Language and Literature (35,5 credits) :
Latin Literature, Latin Authors and Texts (2nd and 3rd year) ; Latin Language I (2nd year) and Latin Language II (3rd  year) ; History of Ancient Philosophy (or Romance Linguistics), Seminar: Ancient History.
b) French Language and Literature (36,5 credits) :
Synchronic and Diachronic approaches to French (2nd year) ; History of French Literature I and II (2nd and 3rd year) ; French Authors from the Middle Ages (3rd year) ; Modern French Authors I (2nd and 3rd year) ; French Linguistics (3rd year) ; Argumentative Writing (3rd year) ; Belgian Francophone Literature.
c) Seminar (3 credits) (3rd year).
