Main Subjects - Major (150 credits)

Foundation studies (1st year) (60 credits)

First term :
General courses in the Faculty of Arts : Historical Foundations of Western Civilisation, Arts and Civilisation, Introduction to European Literature, French Language at university level, Modern Languages, Ancient Languages.

Second term :
General courses : Introduction to Philosophy, Introduction to Language Sciences, Historical Foundations of Western Civilisation II: Ancient history.
Introduction to the Discipline : Introduction to the Study of Antiquity, Basic Grammar and Study of Greek Texts, Basic Grammar and Study of Latin Texts.

Specific studies (2nd and 3rd year) (90 credits)

General courses
:
Modern Languages (comprehension 2nd year and communication 3rd year), Critical Analysis of Information, Anthropology and Psychology (or Logic and Reasoning in Human Sciences), Introduction to European Literature II (or Literary Theory, or General Linguistics), Art History and Archaeology (Antiquity), History of Writing and Script, History of Institutions (Antiquity), History of Ancient Philosophy, Questions of Religious Sciences.

Specialisation courses :
- Greek Literature, Greek Authors and Texts (2nd and 3rd year) ; Greek Language I (2nd year) and Greek Language II (3rd  year).
- Latin Literature, Latin Authors and Texts (2nd and 3rd year) ; Latin Language I (2nd year) and Latin Language II (3rd  year).

Minor (30 credits)
Students are encouraged to expand their intellectual and professional horizons by choosing an option (minor) of 30 credits. The option may be from another discipline in the Faculty or from another University faculty provided that, prerequisites, where necessary, are respected.
