Evaluation methods
The thesis (written work + oral defense) is evaluated by at least two evaluators ( supervisor, possible co-supervisors, reader).
The student must submit his/her topic for approval to the promoter.
The student is required to defend his/her work orally (publicly) before a jury composed of the dissertation evaluators and a chairperson.
The final grade will consist of the two integrated parts (written work + oral defense). The presentation of these two parts is mandatory.
The final grade is a weighted average:
- Written work: 90% of the final grade
- Oral defense: 10% of the final grade
An unjustified absence from the oral defense will result in a failure for the final grade of the thesis.
The practical and precise instructions for the written work and the oral defense will be communicated on Moodle and by email.
The work to be presented or submitted as part of the thesis is personal work that will reflect the student's skills. The references used will be mentioned in an appropriate way. The use of machine translation software and artificial intelligence is forbidden.
The evaluation procedures are identical for the June, August/September and January sessions.
