Reading comprehension
At the end of the course, the students should be able to:
  • grasp the content and significance of articles and reports on topics connected with their interests or their jobs.

Content
Portfolio of authentic texts relating to Public Health (newspapers, magazines, encyclopedias, ...).
Teaching methods
  • Extensive reading of texts at home using reading strategies.
  • Content-based activities in class.
  • Analysis of and comments on the texts.
  • Lexical extension exercises and comments on language points.
This course is taught on site. !
Evaluation methods
Exemption test (1st term) and Written Exam (June/September session):
  • vocabulary questions
  • grammar questions
  • reading comprehension activities on seen and/or unseen passages.
