Main themes
The course mainly consists of:
  • an initiation of the student into critical thinking and self-knowledge, prolegomena to the rest of the programme;
  • a support for the student in the development of a project that leads to the realization of a first university work.
The development of this university work implies for each student a cross-practice focusing on the following aspects:
  • critical reflection based on a disciplinary theme;
  • research and critical confrontation of sources;
  • the practice of the written French language.
Learning outcomes

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 At the end of the class, the student will be able to:
  • demonstrate greater autonomy in documentary research and criticism of sources;
  • develop and transmit a personal production that meets the criteria of scientificity, in his discipline; particular attention will be paid to the requirements for referencing and developing a bibliography; referencing issues will lead to specific developments relating to the issue of plagiarism and the notion of "intellectual property";
  • show a global approach in the way of dealing with a problem.
