Main themes
In order to achieve this end, the students will - study some texts selected in the Old Testament in accordance with a methodological problem or a thematic question; - learn to practice, individually and collectively, an accurate exegetical method; - use in that work the specialised exegetical tools.

Content
Researches on the text of the First Book of Kings
During this course, we will examine texts from First Kings from the point of textual criticism, in connection with the preparation of a critical edition of the Hebrew text (HBCE edition).

Teaching methods
Regular and active participation is required of all the students, including preparation work and presentation(s).
Evaluation methods
Evaluation on the basis of the regular participation during the classes (40% of the final grade) and of an oral presentation (60% of the final grade).
