Prerequisites
Elementary knowledge in Buddhism, Hinduism and/or the foundations of the Ancient Indian history and thought.
Main themes
Devoted mainly to the Hindu and Buddhist philosophies and spiritualities, the course deals with the questions of the Vedic foundations, the ideological context, the Brahmanic or Buddhist classical structurations, the devotional expressions and the heterodox or sectarian developments. The lectures are based on the analysis of textual or archaeological indigenous sources related to the various questions.

The aim of the course is to provide the student with a critical approach to deal with questions related to the philosophies and spiritualities of India and the Far East, on the basis of primary sources, both textual and archaeological. |
Content
Those seminaries are consecrated to Philosophical and Spiritual Questions about Buddhism, Hindouism, and others Asiatic Religious, to reflect on. translations problems, to comparative studies with similar systems in West, all of those on the basis of texts.
This year (2022-2023), the topic is the study of mind and his primordial Basis in Dzogchen, both in bön and tibetan buddhist traditions. The texts will be extracts from Zhang zhung snyan rgyud and Theg mchog mdzod from Klong chen Rab 'byams (1308-1364). The purpose is to discover and compare these texts in order to examine similarities and differences of conception in the two traditions.
It is n ot necessary to have follow the last year seminary for having access to this one...Only needed: a basic knowledge of Buddhism

Teaching methods
Studies according to original tibetan/sanskrit or chinese texts, reflexion about translation and terms, lec ture of personnal works by the teacher in charge, debate about questions studied.
Evaluation methods
Fifteen pages writing work about the seminary or about a question decided with the teacher.

Prerequesites: elementary knowledge in Buddhism, Hinduism and/or the foundations of the Ancient Indian history an thought.
This year (2022-2023), the seminary is placed on second quadrimestre (from beginning of februar to may 2023, each weak,probably the thursday, from 6.30pm to 9pm). Because of evolutionary sanitary situation, the number of students could be limited to 15/20.
If the crisis come to be more serious, it could be Zoom courses organized in place to the presential course.
