Content
The course aims to provide students with an analytical framework for understanding the different types of public policies on which SSE innovations depend and the ways in which they are integrated. It will also highlight the relationship between these initiatives and public and private profit-making actors.
In order to meet these objectives and to anchor the course in the professional or social experience (present or future) of the students, the latter are invited to reflect on an innovation directly related to an issue of the contemporary ecological and social transition and to apply the elements of a theoretical grid that will be progressively constructed. The teaching therefore consists in helping students acquire the theoretical elements necessary to understand and implement a social innovation process.

Teaching methods
The course consists of alternating lectures, possibly with the intervention of field actors, and workshops where the knowledge acquired in the lectures is put into practice with a view to developing social innovation. The last session is devoted to the presentation of the work. Unless otherwise indicated, the courses will be given in person.
Evaluation methods

The learning outcomes are assessed in two ways:
Applying the reading grids seen in the course to a specific existing social innovation in Belgium. The students will work in groups of three to produce a scientific paper, the content of which will be almost finalized in class. Collective written work to be submitted in the examination session (10 January at midnight). 25000 sec. 60% of points.
Produce a dictionary entry based on the recommended readings from the course. Individual written work due in the examination session (midnight, 10 January). 3700 sec, excluding references. 40% of marks.
It is important to refer to the course contract for details of the assessment.
