Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

Specific learning outcomes on completion of teaching unit
On completing this unit the student is able to:
·         Demonstrate knowledge of the major periods of Turkish literary history, classical and contemporary, as well as of the major literary movements from the 19th century onwards;
·         Engage in sensitive criticism of a text, either seen during the course or previously unseen;
·         Present the key ideas of the philosophies of the authors studied in the language of study;
·         Produce a written or oral synthesis in the language of study of one or more works read outside class.

Teaching methods

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the information in this section is particularly likely to change.

The lectures are illustrated by the reading of various extracts, and are completed by an obligatory reading list for individual study.
Evaluation methods

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the information in this section is particularly likely to change.

June Exam :
- continuous assessment based on two practical work reports with presentation
(50 % of final result).
- written exam (50 % of final result).

September exam :
The  continuous assessment mark will not be taken into account.
the written exam (70% of final result).

the oral exam (30% of final result).
