Main themes
To reach the aims, the seminar will:
- address some methodological questions and selected areas where ethical analysis play a crucial role today ;
- focus specifically on bounds between practical issues and the relevance of fundamental reflections ;
- study with a particular interest the status of religious dimension in debates about values and norms.
Aims

At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to :

1 - to make a research in the field of applied ethics ;
 
2 - to use conceptual tools of current research in ethics ;
 
3 - to communicate orally and by paper the results of his research.
 
Teaching methods

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the information in this section is particularly likely to change.

A seminar is not a series of lectures. It will focus on the dynamics of individual and collective research.
Evaluation methods

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the information in this section is particularly likely to change.

A regular and active participation is necessary.
After a general introduction to the seminar, participants will choose their topic for an oral presentation. This presentation serves as the starting point for the written paper to be evaluated in June. There is no oral exam.
The seminar is open to interested  people with an interdisciplinary perspective (master or PhD  level) coming from philosophy, theology, religious studies, social and political sciences, etc.
