The Issues in Architecture: History and Theory unit is taught by joint lecturers and is formed of 2 modules (Hist&Th A / Hist&Th B) which alternate from one year to the next in the first semester. The 2 modules are complementary, while at the same time remaining two teaching units which can be taken independently of each other.
The Hist&Th A unit focuses on one (or more) question(s) raised by architecture or the practice of architecture from the history and theory of architecture.
L'UE Hist&Th B focuses on one (or more) question(s) raised by the history and theory of architecture from architecture or the practice of architecture.
This/these question(s) will be announced at the beginning of the course.
A general issue which comes up repeatedly in (the practice of) architecture, raises questions in the history of art and architectural theories.
