At the end of this learning unit, the student is able to : | |
1 | The course has a twofold aim. First, the course intends to give the students an analytical overview of Europeanization processes, i.e. processes of domestic adaptation in the member states as a result of European integration. Students will have an understanding of the processes of Europeanization and they will have acquired insights on the interaction between the EU and its member states in a multi-level political system. Second, the course intends to train students in conducting empirical research on the Europeanization of a member state of their choice; to present the findings of their research in an oral presentation and a written paper; and to discuss the research of their fellow students in a critical and constructive way. |

As the oral presentation cannot be redone and as there are no presentations to discuss in August, 100% of the grades of the August session will be on the paper. However, in order to compensate, the requirements for the paper in August can differ from the requirements for the paper in January (details in the annually updated syllabus).
