The most important authors of these periods will be covered: Dante, Petrarch and Boccaccio. Artists such as Giotto, Masaccio, the Lorenzetti brothers and Antonella da Messina, ending with Raphael, will have an important place. Students will find out about the most important movements of this period, such as the Sicilian School, the Dolce Stilnovo and humanism. The growth of cities and the early forms of proto-democracy will also be presented as well as the most important political events that took place on the Italian peninsula.
