- self-study of texts, using scanning and other reading techniques;
- in-depth analysis and explanation of texts in class;
- general or more detailed understanding of video programmes in a language laboratory according to the rhythm of each student;
- oral class presentation in groups of 3 or 4; writing of a mail to a TED speaker and of a film review;
- vocabulary and language structures are practised and developed via speaking activities (role plays, interviews, conversation in small groups).
Reading and listening comprehension are exploited orally and in writing.
Speaking is exercised via debates, role-plays and talks in groups.
Writing is developed through the writing of an email to a TED speaker and a film review.
Vocabulary and structures are revised both orally and in writing.
The teaching unit takes place mainly face to face.
Basic vocabulary and grammar mistakes are revised on the Moodle platform.

Evaluation in April (10%), oral exam:
individual discussion of a press article - Continuous assessment (50%), one talk in groups and two individual writing assignments during the year.
