This biannual course is taught on years 2015-2016, 2017-2018, ....
These objectives will be achieved after an analysis on a specific question about ancient Church history (historical, litterary, theological and when needed archeological aspects). The analysed texts will be situated in their historical and theological contexts.

The topic of this second level two-yearly course is different each year. For example: the persecution of the Christians during the four first centuries, the conversion of the Roman Empire to christian faith, the judeo-christianism, the christian school of Alexandria, first Christians ans classical culture, and the beginnings of monachism. Students learn to use the main tools in the field of ancient Church history.
