Assessment and treatment of language and communication in the following disabilities : mental delay, autism, cerebral motor infirmity, epilepsy, cranial traumatism, blindness. General questions in speech and language therapy : assessment of non-verbal communication, alternative and augmentative systems of communication, parental guidance.
To introduce students to the diagnosis and treatment of language and communication problems arising as side effects from non-language disabilities, together with dealing with language problems in subjects with multiple disabilities.
