Aims

The course intends to give the students an analytical overview of (1) the way in which the European integration process has an impact on the institutional structure, policies and political processes in the member states; and (2) the processes that shape the national preferences of member state to participate in EU decision-making.

Written or oral examination.

Content

The course encompasses several conceptual and theoretical approaches in the study of europeanisation processes, with a particular emphasis on intra-paradigmatic variabilities and debates. It covers aspects of the europeanisation of the policies, politics and even of the institutional system of the member states.
