Main themes Demonstration of the morphological aspects of the most frequently encountered oral and cutaneous lesions.
Aims At the end of the course, the students will be able - to understand the elementary lesions which constitute the basis of the development of the most important pathologies - to understand the histopathology of the most frequently encountered oral and cutaneous lesions - to link together pathogeny, clinical expression and complications of the above-mentionned diseases.
Content Content: General part : basic lesions applicable to oral and cutaneous pathology : necrosis, adaptation mecanisms, inflammation, immunity, deficiency and hypersensitivity, growth disorders and neoplasia, non-tumoral osteo-articular pathology. Oral and cutaneous histopathology : study of macroscopy and microscopy of the most important pathologies : lesions of the oral mucosa and skin, dental lesions and odontogenic pathology, pathology of the parodontis Methods: Lectures with powerpoint support, followed by the analysis of microscopic slides illustrating the studied lesions
Other information Needed notions : general histology, oral histology, head and neck anatomy and embryology Evaluation : to be determined by the teacher Support : hand-out, histological slides
