Main themes In order to achieve these ends, these themes will be developed: - brief history of the relationship between (natural and human) sciences and Christianity in its institutional and conceptual aspects; - typology of the different ways of the dialogue and confrontation between sciences and theologies with their limits, relevance and theological grounds; - study of some recent cases.
Aims At the end of this activity, the student will be able - to present the main stages of the historical evolution of the relationship between sciences and Christian faith; - to describe and evaluate the different types of possible relationships between sciences and faith, religion, Christian theology, with their relevance and limits; - to analyse precise cases of contemporary relations between sciences and theologies.
Content

The problem of the conversation between theology and science requires an interdisciplinar involvment. A professor of philosophy of sciences and physics, D. Lambert and a theologian, B. Bourgine, are associated to clarify a typology of dialogue between the two langages and logics.

Other information

The lecture shall be done a year at  the UCL Louvain-la-Neuve (2011, 2013...), a year  at FUNDP-Namur (2012, 2014...) .
