Main themes
Subject of the course (main themes that will be dealt with)
1. General introduction to the law : an analysis of the legal phenomenon in its institutional, normative and jurisdictional aspects.
2. The enterprise : after having defined the notion of enterprise, its characteristics and forms and after an introduction to corporate governance, the enterprise will be examined from the point of view of its relationships with its contracting parties, its personnel and the public authorities.
3. A third part of the course will be devoted to intellectual property and the derived rights (patents, trade marks and designs, copyright).

2. to develop the students' ability to understand legal institutions and their effects on the enterprise and particularly on industrial activity
Content
Abstract : content and method
Since the course is an initiation to each of the themes that will be dealt with - legal phenomenon, enterprise and intellectual property - the emphasis will be laid on defining the key concepts and on presenting the applicable legal and regulatory texts, with particular attention to international and European regulations.
Reference will be made to relevant cases.
Other information
There are no prerequisites.
The evaluation will take place in the form of an oral examination. Each student will be invited to read a book on the enterprise and the law and to make a short critical review of it.
Each student will receive a syllabus with references to internet sites where he or she will find the legal and regulatory texts that will be discussed.
