Main themes By documenting and preparing various classroom sequences and by studying their results, this course will try to address the main aspects of the contemporary teaching of ancient languages: the finalities according to the degrees ; - reading authors ; - getting familiar with ancient cultures and civilisations ; - conception and implementation of assessment tools adapted to the various objectives envisaged ; - critical overview of the possibilities offered by multimedia. The programmes are put into perspective in the context of the "Missions" decree and following the definition in terms of networks of the "final competencies and knowledge" required in Latin and Greek. This course also starts reflection on the characteristics of quality transfer and in particular on its adaptation to the target audience.
Aims At the end of this course, the student will have learned to conceive, organise and assess educational activities and learning situations for teaching Latin and Greek in the different degrees of secondary education. The student will also have understood the status, the contents and the changes of the teaching programmes. He will have achieved a critical reading of the latter. He will have practised construing original sequences of instruction, adapted to the different degrees of secondary school ad the spirit of the programs, and with the aim of reaching the objectives set for the pupils. Finally, the student will be introduced, with the help of TIC, to the analysis of oral and written transmission of scientific knowledge, and more specifically to the critical reading of handbooks.
