Main themes |
The course is in two parts : first of all, a theoretical and technical account of the methods of classification of manuscripts, establishment of a stemma codicum, edition and critical apparatus. Next, a history of editions of ancient texts in order to show the various deformations which they suffered over the centuries.
The study of a particular problem that might be met of a group of students according to their speciality (Latin, Greek, Medieval French, Oriental language ... ).
