This involves critical use of sources of various natures and origins as well as methodological approaches relating to history, archaeology and/or the history of Art. Transcend traditional period cut-off points or, within the same period, multiply and compare angles of approach.

Students will be asked to present the results of their personal research, orally, then in writing. The evaluation will be based on the results of these. It will also take into account active participation at seminar meetings.
