This course will help to integrate the theories and the communicational tools learnt up to here in a disciplinary way (linguistics, semiotics, sociology, anthropology, psychology, literature) within the framework of educational and cultural questions.
The aim of this course will be to understand the communicational stakes of cultural, artistic and educational practices, under the angle of the history of companies.

Main themes
The course presupposes that the students have a strong knowledge of the courses on communicational theories in BAC one and two. The aim of this course is to build a communicational point of view on three social objects that are the culture, art, and socio-educational sector.
In this approach, the media objects are the base of the analyses, as they represent various models and cultural systems.
Content and teaching methods
Students must have integrate communicational theories presented durant the two first years of the cursus. The course has to give the students the basic skills aiming for a master specialized in " media, culture and education ". The aim of this course will be to understand the communicational stakes of cultural, artistic and educational practices, under the angle of the history of companies.
Professor Daniel Peraya (suppl. Philippe Marion) will present the part focused on socio-educational systems and educational practices. I will be in charge of the part on culture and art. In the beginning, the curse will present culture and art in society and the way they had been seen during ages. Then, the curses will present the link between media, mass media, new media and art. At last, the curse will present civilization stakes that art and media suppose, particularly cultural diversity.
