Study objectives

This programme offers the possibility of a training programme in the domain of Family, Marital and Sexual Sciences. It prepares students who already have a certain training (psychologists, teachers, jurists, theologians, sociologists, doctors, nurses ...) for a better return on their principal programme by integrating into their profession questions relating to sexuality, relationships and the family.

Admission conditions

Candidates must:

  • be holders of a university diploma from the first or second cycle ;
  • be holders of a diploma as assistant in psychology, social assistant, social advisor, nurse, specialised educator and have passed the exam enabling the verification of their capacities and required knowledge.
  • have successfully completed the preparatory year.

A complementary programme comprising a maximum of 150 hours of studies, depending on the case, may be added to this degree programme.

Admission procedure

Admission applications should be handed in to the secretary's office of the Institute.

General structure of the programme

The "licence" degree programme covers two years of studies ; the student may be granted authorisation to divide each year of the programme into two parts of exams.

These two years cover 660 hours of lectures to which the student may add options from other subjects to his programme.

In certain cases, the Committee may request that the student add a maximum of 150 hours of prerequisites to his programme.

The second year also includes the writing and defence of an end of course thesis.

Programme content
