The programme is based on the foundations of the analytical processes of sociology and anthropology and their specification in a more specific social field or sector. The methodological approach uses qualitative or quantitative methods. The thesis aims to produce a written summary of a sociological and/or anthropological issue, mainly based on a critical review of the international literature in sociology and anthropology. An important aspect of this is a critique of the unique features and points of convergence of anthropological and sociological approaches. This review can form the basis for an original research topic, which can be implemented within the framework of a “Master 120” thesis in either anthropology or sociology.
