Data visualisation and advanced tools in R

[4 half days] - [starts on 24-06-2021 at 09:30] - [English] - [Formation online]

You don't know how to get good-looking graphs for publication? How can you easily include R outputs (tables, figures) in a document. You often perform the same analysis with copy-paste and you would like to save your time.

The R language is a computing environment and a very flexible and rich progamming language used for statistical data analysis. It's a free and open source software that is regularly enriched with new libraries of functions provided by users. In particular, everyone can create a package.

Training aims
At the end of this training, the participant will be familiar with different data visualisation tools in R. He will also learn how to efficiently reproduce the same analysis and how to include R outputs in a document (pdf, word...).

Prerequisites
A basic knowledge of R is required (cf. the first day of the training hereafter).

Formation online : Online Training via Teams -
Our trainer will contact you by e-mail before the beginning of the training session to send you the connection link and any useful documents.

Here is some additional information that we ask you to read now: If you haven’t done it yet, please download the Teams application (Here is the link to download Teams). For example, this will allow you to be able to share your screen with the trainer if you get stuck during an exercise.

If the training involves the use of data analysis software, you should preferably have this software on your computer in order to take full advantage of the training. For UCLouvain members, you can find out about the availability of the tool from the IT department via the service catalogue (https://servicedesk.uclouvain.be -> SelfService -> Catalogue de service). Depending on the software, a solution may possibly be found if you are unable to get the software installed on your computer. However, this is not the most comfortable way to participate in the training. And we must also anticipate this. So please let us know if this is what you intend to do.

Attendance
The training is open to all but requires prior registration.
