Text Mining
Text mining is at the intersection of linguistics, computer science and statistics. It is the process of analyzing textual data using a variety of quantitative techniques. These allow for example to automate strategic monitoring, to analyze the style of an author or to identify the feelings expressed on the Internet about an event, a product etc. What these techniques have in common is that they allow the rapid analysis of large amounts of textual data.
