The Workshop

The workshop is intended to bring together researchers from industry and university to take stock of where we are, discuss open problems and set directions for future research in this exciting area. There will be plenty of time for discussions during the conference to develop ideas further and to explore new directions. We encourage the attendees to come early or maybe stay a few days extra to engage in technical discussions and at the same time explore Belgium, Brussels at only 20 minutes by train or car, cities like Liège, Gent or Brugge, or the "young" city of the Louvain-la-Neuve with its pedestrian city atmosphere.

Every day will be 2-3 plenary review/tutorial talks and discussions in the morning. There will be one poster presentation linked with semi-formal discussions in the afternoon. Different work groups will be organized that will provide reviews of different topics and discuss open problems, promising lines of research and rationale for planning a third workshop.

The contributions may be of the following types:

Contributed papers,
Invited session proposals,
Invited papers,
Tutorial papers,

and we also encourage contributions under the form of Prospective or Discussion papers (extended abstract of about 3 pages).

Regular papers presented at TFMST'2019 will be hosted and freely available on-line in the IFAC-PapersOnLine website hosted on ScienceDirect (http://www.sciencedirect.com) and will be citable via an ISSN and a DOI.

The workshop will be held in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium from Wednesday to Friday, 03-05 July 2019, at the Euler building of the university of Louvain.
