The 2026 Benelux Meeting on Systems and Control brought together more than 300 participants, setting a new attendance record and highlighting the strength and dynamism of the Benelux control community. The conference featured outstanding plenary lectures and a broad range of high-quality research contributions. Among the scientific highlights, Amir Mehrnoosh presented his work on “Two-point Random Gradient-free Methods for Model-free Feedback Optimization”, Vijayand Digge discussed his research on online reinforcement learning, and Arthur Mélot shared his latest results on fleet rebalancing optimization. The event also marked the presentation of the inaugural SOCN Best PhD Thesis Award. Congratulations to Brecht Evens on this well-deserved recognition. The SIDDARTA principal investigators played a leading role in organizing the meeting, with Julien Hendrickx, Raphaël Jungers, and Gianluca Bianchin serving as General Chairs.
