Implantable
Multi-contact Active Nerve Electrode, acronym IMANE, is an European
Commission research project. This project is funded under the
Research and Development Framework Programme 6 (FP6, 2002-2006), the
“Information Society Technologies” thematic priority. The project aims
at integrating existing technologies to develop a functional electrode
stimulation device for broad medical applications. The IMANE partners
pooled their resource and their expertise in the fields of laser
application, electronic technology and neural rehabilitation in order
to deliver an innovated implantable multi-contact active nerve
electrode.
