The general objective of the SENSROAD project is to develop ground-penetrating radar (GPR) techniques based on full-wave inversion for the non-destructive inspection of roads. The project in particular tackles the following questions: the radar configuration, the measurement protocols and the signal processing algorithms for the quantitative characterization of the key physical properties of the road structures and their high-resolution imaging. The proposed technique is based on full-wave inverse modeling of the radar data. The project should result in an ergonomic software for automated radar data processing. The project was carried out in collaboration with the Centre de recherches routières.
