Ecuadorian. Graduated as an environmental engineer. Early works on the impacts of agriculture in the soils of highland mountains in Ecuador, hyperspectral images applications to assess the effects of mining industries. Later she worked on assessing the effects of hydroelectric plants in the highland mountains of Ecuador. During her PhD, she is working on the effects of land cover change in the soil-water interaction in the volcanic soils of Santa Cruz island, Galapagos.
