Aims

By the end of this course, the student should be able to undertake a critical reading of the prophetical texts of the Old Testament based on a general knowledge of this literature.

Main themes

To meet the objectives, the course covers the following :
- study of the great biblical prophets in their historical and theological context;
- presentation of the main prophetical literary genres;
- exegesis of important excerpts by the prophets.
