Aims

- To give the future GP and MD, elements of etiopathogeny, diagnosis and treatment (mainly symptomatic) of most frequent oral and maxillofacial diseases
- To describe clinical signs of oral diseases in order to allow the future MD to propose a diagnosis and/or a differential diagnosis of these oral and maxillofacial diseases.

Main themes

Main objects :
- dental and periodontal diseases;
- oral mucosal lesions;
- maxillofacial osseous diseases, inclusive OMF traumatology
- TMJ diseases
- salivary glands diseases

Content and teaching methods

- Ex cathedra lectures
- Clinical signs are described and well illustrated
- Diagnostic approach is detailed, only symptomatic treatments are developed
- Prevention of oral diseases is emphasized (oral health)

- written exam at the end of the first semester
- many clinical illustrations (slides - iCampus)
