Aims

1.Control the theoretical and administrative aspects of medical prescription.
2.Prescribe in a relevant way on the basis of the patient, the disease, the context and the evidence-based-medicine.
3.Include the economic impact of prescriptions, the use of generic medications and DCI (international commune denomination) prescription.
4.Be aware of the need to write objective and ethical medical certification.

Main themes

1. Lecture: Theoretical data, correct application of drugs prescribing rules (written notes exist) 2. Worshops and exercises: about various disease in different field of clinical medicine i.e. respiratory diseases, digestive diseases, cardiovascular diseases, dermatology…, establishing and discuss the prescription of drugs. The end of the seminar is dedicated to the redaction of a certificate for various situation. Training groups of 25 students approximately, animated by a senior general practitioner and a pharmacist, starting from concrete clinical situations described in a syllabus. The answers are elaborate by sub-groups of 8 students approximately. Each sub-group proposes an appropriated prescription in response to the clinical case presented and there is a discussion about the quality of the prescription.

Evaluation : included in OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Evaluation).
