Aims

By the end of the course, students will be able to analyse a specific teaching methodology using in the teaching of history in the secundary school.

Main themes

The seminar centres around a theoretical reflection about a problem related to teaching history (e.g. the utilisation of iconography, how to evaluate historicals competences of the pupils…).

Content and teaching methods

The course is comprised of theoretical lectures, analyse of exemples of lessons and the elaboration by the students of learning activities in relation with the problem studied during the seminar.

Seminar that may be choice but that is not obligatory.

Assessment
Assessment will be based on the oral and written communication of the learning activity the students have elaborate. Criteria for this final exam will be clearly defined by the teacher and made explicit for the students.

Course Holder/Supervision
The seminar is held by the field-specific didactics lecturer. The seminar also makes recourse to the pedagogical collaboration of practitioners in the field.
