Aims

The aim of the course is to introduce students to the main problems of human geography: location of human activities, flows of people and goods, social problems, territorial development policies, etc.

Main themes

The problems are illustrated on two very different spatial scales:
- First we are essentially interested in the urban phenomenon: internal structure of cities, social problems, housing policies, city-country relations, etc.
- Secondly we cover the problems of economic development through international trade.
