Aims

- To be able to analyse, in the light of the theoretical frames and of empirical data given in the course, the relations establishing between the public authorities, the organisms of the associative or private environment, the labour market and the devices of formation in the fields of qualifying formation, of socio-professional insertion and of elimination of illiteracy.
- To be able to make use of these theoretical frames by building grids of analysis about practical situations of formation according to the political and socio-economical context.

Main themes

This course deals with the analysis of the political and socio-economical contexts in which the formations dealing with the fields of qualifying formations, of socio-professional insertion and of elimination of illiteracy take place. It deals, in the frame of models such as the fields theory and the conventions theory, with the relations establishing between the economical (public, associative or private enterprises of goods and services), social (employers and trade unions), political (institutional and budgetary) and professional actors (professional associations and sites of formation of instructors). The accent will be put on the socio-economical (effects of the formations, adequacy formation/job, etc.) and sociological dimensions (conceptions of the formation, past experience of the trainees and the trainers, etc.) structuring the relations between these various actors.
This course is the continuation of the course FOPA 2104 "Economy of education" and of the course FOPA 2102 "Sociology of education and formation ". It also gives a frame allowing to analyse the contributions of the course FOPA 2350 "Analysis of the devices of formation in the field of formation - insertion - elimination of illiteracy".
