Aims

Specialized course of modern methods useful to multistage organic synthesis. Emphasis is put on organometallic catalysis, synthesis tool in the synthesis laboratory and in the industry. The particular case of enantioselective catalysis is also deepened. Examples of total multistage synthesis including one or several stages of organometallic catalysis to apply these techniques.

Main themes

The material of the course is variable, using the new literature. Bases of organometallic chemistry - Examples using organometallic catalysis in industrial processes - The main classes of organometallic catalysis - Applications to enantioselective catalysis - Applications to organic synthesis of products having an interest in the agro alimentary and pharmaceutical industry and in natural products.

Other information (prerequisite, evaluation (assessment methods), course materials recommended readings, ...)

Prerequisites: CHIM1270, CHIM2140.

Evaluation: bibliographic report.

Support: course notes, books from CHIM library.
