Aims

To inform candidates for future general practitioner or MACCS (interns) in surgery or other disciplines (internal medicine, paediatrics, etc.) about the impact of organ transplantation on the current treatment of numerous disorders.

Main themes

General information on organ transplants; kidney transplants; liver transplants; heart transplants; pancreas transplants; transplants of the cornea, bone marrow, skin or bone structures

Content and teaching methods

Medical and surgical aspects of organ transplantation, including immunology, patients follow-up, and organ donation.

Other information (prerequisite, evaluation (assessment methods), course materials recommended readings, ...)

Evaluation: written examination (multiple choice).
