Aims

Introduction to medical microbiology for medical doctors and pharmacists beginning a specialisation in Clinical Pathology

Main themes

Basic techniques in bacteriology and virology

Content and teaching methods

-Emergency techniques in virology and bacteriology.
-Antimicrobial susceptibility techniques.
-Serology techniques.
-Diagnosis of infections in immunodeficient patients.
-Diagnosis of urinary tract infections.
-Diagnosis of respiratory tract infections.
-Diagnosis of gastrointestinal infections.
-Diagnosis of central nervous system infections.
-Diagnosis of hepatitis.
