Message of the Coordinators

It saddens us to begin this last newsletter of the IAP DYSCO. What has been collaboratively accomplished over the last 30 years is truly remarkable, and we can all take pride of these achievements. We do hope that fruitful and thought-generating collaborations between our different groups will continue in the future.

On the positive side, one EOS projetc emanating from our network got funded, and we would like to congratulate the promoters of "Structured low-rank matrix / tensor approximation : numerical optimization-based algorithms and applications", let by Lieven De Lathauwer.

The next Benelux meeting will be held on March 27-29 in Soesteberg (http://www.beneluxmeeting.nl/2018/), with Murat Arcak, Dongheui Lee and Tamas Keviczky as plenary speaker. The deadline for abstract submission in January 22. We also had a very nice last study day in November in Leuven, in the DYSCO spirit.

We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Paul Van Dooren and Julien Hendrickx
Coordinators of DYSCO
