Message of the Coordinators
We are slowly approaching the end of 2017 and the end of the IAP program. There will be a last study day on November the 28, which will be an opportunity to celebrate our network and our achievements over the last decades (see below). We hope to see many of you there.

Study Days, Workshops and Summer Schools
As the IUAP/PAI DYSCO is formally coming to an end at the end of this year, the steering committee decided a while ago to organize one final ‘we-say-farewell-but-not-for-long’ study day.
After some concertation, we landed on the date of Tuesday November 28, at a location called the ‘Irish College’ in the center of Leuven (‘Damiaanplein’/Janseniusstraat 1, Leuven). https://www.meetingleuven.be/nl/aanbod/iers-college
The format is:
- three plenary speakers:
- Prof. Michel Gevers, one of the founding fathers of our network; - Xavier Bombois, Ecole Centrale de Lyon; - Prof. Lieven Vandenberghe, UCLA.
intertwined with shorter presentations and testimonies by members of the network.
We will provided titles and abstracts in due time.
That day, we have a welcome coffee from 9 h on, and we formally start at 10 h with the first plenary. We will provide a farewell lunch and coffee breaks, and in the evening we will toast on past and future successes of our collaboration in a reception starting around 16.30 h.
We welcome also especially the several generations of ‘alumni’ of our network, the roots of which go back for more than 20 years !
We will open a website with the program, details on the location and registration in a couple of days, but mark date and location already in your agenda.
We look forward to a commemorable event !
